Understanding Restaurant Management Issues

Having A Small Wedding And You Don't Want A Wile Reception? Find A Restaurant For The Celebrations

If you are having a wedding and you don't want a loud traditional reception with a disc jockey and all night dancing, having the reception in a restaurant may be a better option. There are many advantages to having a reception at a restaurant instead of trying to plan everything at an empty hall. Here are a few reasons you want to consider restaurants that do weddings in your area.

Don't Stress about Linens, Tableware and More

You don't have to worry about what type of tableware and plates to use, what the colors are going to be or how you're going to get all of the tables and chairs you need when you decide to have your reception at a restaurant. They have all the items that are needed for the celebratory meal, and you just have to show up ready to eat. You can have your own centerpieces brought in if needed.

Menu Options and More

You can pick a few things of the menu that the restaurant is used to cooking, and they will have the spare amounts of food if something goes wrong or you end up with a few more people than expected, since they have food for the restaurant. They can also accommodate someone with an extreme allergy or special dietary need because they can cook something else off the menu, instead of just having to pick a few options off a catering menu.

Few Distractions

When people are walking up to a bar constantly to get drinks, walking out on the dance floor, and wandering around the reception hall, it can be difficult to get everyone together. At the restaurant people are going to be together at the tables mingling, eating and conversing, and enjoying the celebration of your wedding. If you aren't going to have photo booths, slide shows or other distractions, you don't need a huge open space.

There are a lot of restaurants that like to do weddings, make sure that you can bring in your own desserts or cake. You should also see if you can have a champagne toast if you want. The restaurant should be willing to accommodate any special needs you have with guests and kids menus. Have your guests RSVP for the reception to make sure you have enough room for everyone that wants to attend, and get the final number to the restaurant as quickly as possible.
